Yes I have but not a lot, only a couple of, specifically kayaking and swimming. I love swimming so much that I consider myself as a professional swimmer. (Answer 1)

Well, this country is tropical and with many islands, so we can expect that local people love swimming, surfing, scuba diving, to name a few. We are fortunate that we have many white-sand beaches and well-protected coral reefs that people can enjoy. Not only that, some parts of this country have the best weather conditions for surfing and that attracts hundreds of thousands of surfers from different countries every summer.

(Answer 2)

I’m sorry that I cannot give you an accurate answer to that question as I’m not sure. However, I assume it’s swimming because all of us learn swimming at an early age since it’s part of every school’s curriculum. But then again, I’m not entirely sure – I can be wrong.

i.) ANSWER 1: The speaker did not immediately mention the water sports that his countrymen loved doing, instead, he talked about the typical climate in his country and started talking about the different sports he thought people in his country enjoyed doing. The speaker still achieved coherence in that kind of answer because the first few ideas of his answer completely connected to his main answer.

ii.) ANSWER 2: The speaker sounded very natural in his answer as he’s very honest expressing his thoughts. Well, that kind of answer doesn’t really need to have an exact answer, so what he did was just right. He then transitioned to talking about his assumption and his basis focused on the fact that all students in his country learned swimming. Right after that, he ended his answer by claiming that he could be wrong. Great answer! Very natural!
