The speaking part of the C2 Proficiency exam lasts about 16 minutes and comprises three parts. In the first part, the candidate and examiner have a short general chat. In the second part, the candidates are given photos to talk about and they form the basis of a collaborative task. In part three, students must speak on their own for a couple of minutes and use prompts from a card. This then leads into a general discussion on the themes raised.
